Originally hailing from Southwestern Indiana, these two eclectic singer-songwriters bring a colorful moving and upbeat blend of earth-friendly original sparkle folk rock intent on harmonizing consciousness one note, in 432hz, at a time. With a successful background in touring throughout the North American continent in the last several years, many have come to enjoy both Mariah’s and the Covert Dragon’s friendly, fun and easy-going presence. As a rainbow of musical bliss, they playfully work from their six current album releases for the listening enjoyment and enrichment of their audiences. Performances and songs are delivered with wholesome storytelling flare and heartwarming authenticity. Each performance is entirely novel and a one of a kind experience!
In the last few years, Mariah Dawn Shepherd & the Covert Dragon has successfully toured throughout the United States from coast to coast and parts of Canada performing theaters, festivals, house concerts and a little of everything in-between.
Mariah's debut album ‘Equivocal Dreams’ was released in 2012, next with the Covert Dragon was their 2016 release ‘Woodsy Mushrumps’ along with Randy's solo album titled 'Randall of Greenwood: Regeneration' and 2017 release 'A Date With Myself' followed the 2019 release 'Beyond The Smokey Mirror' and their newest 'Tend My Garden: The Lost Album in 2022. Mariah and Randy are now preparing a whole batch of new songs to be recorded on their new and upcoming albums. Their newest is expected to be released in 2023.
Mariah Dawn Shepherd & the Covert Dragon's music has been played throughout the world on various radio stations and podcasts. One podcast in particular was in England on (Damh the Bard's podcast, Episode 50).
Mariah and Randy say their inspiration comes from nature where they love to be the most. They love traveling the world, sharing heartfelt music and creating good relations with all. They both are both looking forward to their next international tour and all the joy that follows...
